Mandarin Consulting holds an educational seminar at Christ’s Hospital School
Global company Mandarin Consulting was delighted to be invited to hold a seminar at Christ’s Hospital School on Monday 24th September. Sally Patterson, Senior Coach and Deputy Head of Programme Management at Mandarin Consulting, delivered a clear and inspiring presentation on the topic of “Job Opportunities for Chinese Students”. Following the presentation, one of the MC Alumni, Galaxy Liu, shared her experiences of studying for her undergraduate degree at the University of Essex, and how she achieved her current work placement role at TransPerfect.
Hugo Middlemas, Director of Development at Christ’s Hospital, as well as the organiser of the event said, “it was a great privilege for our students to learn from Sally Patterson’s expertise and to hear from the Mandarin Consulting Alumnus, Galaxy, and her experience of developing her own career. Particular highlights for the students included the framework for preparing an approach to an employer, the vital role of networking and the importance to stand out from the crowd. I am sure that the evening will be one of the most important moments in their time at Christ’s Hospital”.
After the event, Sally commented, “it was wonderful to see a group of sixth formers so engaged, thinking about their future careers even before they have started university and understanding the importance of optimising their opportunities to help ensure future success”.
