Mandarin Consulting Alumni Urban Golf and Networking Event in London
On Friday 20th July 2018, Mandarin Consulting welcomed MC Alumni with a new immersive activity – Golf & Grooves, at Urban Golf Smithfield. This is one of the most popular, simulating golf venues in London. The MC Alumni is a network of Mandarin Consulting’s candidates who have successfully found a job, completed an internship or graduate work placement having benefitted from one of the cross-cultural coaching programmes offered by Mandarin Consulting, the most comprehensive and effective career enhancement service for Chinese university students around the world.
Mandarin Consulting CEO Carrie Waley and Director David Peckham gave an inspiring speech on advice for career progression for all the MC Alumni. They emphasised putting the attributes that had been demonstrated at the interviews and assessment centres into practice and the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills. At the end, the enthusiastic alumni said they learnt to stay ‘open-minded, proactive and positive’ in their career path.
After the speech, the MC Alumni were able to play golf together, and, network with other young professionals working in a wide range of industries from global companies, such as HSBC, PwC, KPMB, BDO, Accenture and Legal & General. The event provided a great opportunity for the MC Alumni to have a good time during their weekend engaging in conversation with like-minded professionals in a casual environment.
