Mandarin Consulting’s Alumni Festive Party, 25th November 2017, London
On 25th November 2017, Mandarin Consulting’s Alumni gathered for a festive celebration at a traditional Chinese restaurant in London. The MC Alumni is a network of Mandarin Consulting’s candidates who have successfully found a job or completed an internship or graduate work placement having benefitted from one of the cross-cultural coaching programmes offered by Mandarin Consulting, the most comprehensive and effective career enhancement service for Chinese university students in the world.
Mandarin Consulting’s CEO Carrie Waley, Freeman of the City of London and a Founding Member of the Guild of Entrepreneurs, gave an inspiring speech about her entrepreneurial experiences, highlighting the qualities needed to be an entrepreneur, her passion for business, the challenges faced, and on being a woman entrepreneur.
The MC Alumni were able to network with young professionals working in a wide range of industries, including those of assurance, insurance, engineering, energy and science from global companies such as PwC, KPMG, Accenture, BP and AECOM. This event provided a great opportunity for the MC Alumni to share experiences and meet with members of the Mandarin Consulting team. D Wang, KPMG, said of the event, ‘it’s my first time joining a MC Alumni event. Thank you for organising us to be together. I really enjoy meeting these people. It’s a good opportunity for everyone to learn from each other.’
